Disney Plus intimidates with subscribers
Disney Plus, which appeared to users in April last year, shows that it is growing day by day with the number of subscribers. The platform, which was launched in the USA continent in November and in Europe at the end of March, reached 54 million subscribers.
The platform, which includes the series and movies of studios such as Marvel , Star Wars and Pixar , attracted great attention by fans in a short time. So much so that the number of subscribers of the platform has exceeded one third of its competitors.
Disney Plus subscribers past one-third of Netflix
The number of paid subscribers of the platform has reached 54 million according to current data. Its biggest rival, Netflix, has 183 million subscribers, according to a report released last week. Considering the release dates of both services, we can say that Disney has achieved a rapid increase.
While the people were at home because of the Corona virus, the biggest financial gain was the digital media services. Digital media services that can be accessed from anywhere have seen an overall increase in the first quarter of this year.
When the first quarter report was published at the beginning of April, the platform had 50 million subscribers. It managed to add 4 million subscribers to the platform within a month. The service, which appeals to a much smaller audience compared to Netflix, can change this situation with new movies and series.
